Hi I have a SID XX fork with remote lockout.

I also have a Revelation with RCT3 damping. It is dual position ( which is controlled from the other leg).

Can I just swap the damper from the SID XX to the revelation to give it remote lockout ?

Are the dampers different lengths to accommodate different travel?

If they are actually the same length then I would imagine the damper in the Sid XX and the Revelation XX are identical.

one fork is 120mm and the other fork is dual position ie 120mm or 140mm.

Take them out an measure them

If they are the same length I can’t see any issues (I’m 90% certain it will be).

Rockshox sell an XX version of the Revelation, it probably uses exactly the same damper as the SID

Pretty sure I asked almost the exact same question a couple of years. Someone said it could be done, but couldn’t, or didn’t, say why. I ended up just buying the correct damper anyway. Currently waiting on new Revelation dampers to go in an old Pike too.
