  • Suspension oil on wooden workshop floor. Best way to clean?

Me being klutzy last night spilt some RS suspension oil on my workshop floor (which is treated board). Thought I’d cleared it up but the patch is now about as slippy as glass!

Any way I can remove it or at least return the surface to something grippy. Not bothered about the floor, just don’t want to be flung headlong into my bench vice 😉

bit of chain degreaser poured on, scrubbed and then mopped off?

Sounds a good plan. I give that a go later.

Fairy liquid and hot water scrubbed in with a stiff brush will do the job.

Al, a man of your skills really shouldn’t:
    a, Have a workshop.
b, Be fiddling with oil of any kind.
c, Be having anything to do with any kind of moving bicycle parts.
    d, Or static ones.

Fair point Tim. I do need a workshop as I have children. And I need to have a place where I can hit things with hammers. b,c and d tho? We’re agreed 🙂

Put some sand on it for a while to try and draw it out?
