I’ve just had a cast taken off and was so shocked at the state of my leg that I had to measure it: I broke my ankle four weeks ago and in that time the calf has gone from a skinny (but cycling/running fit) 14″ to a mere 12″ and all the muscle tone has gone! It looks really weird. Fortunately I’m now in a light-touch removable boot so I can start exercising it and hopefully speed the return to normal….
