Thinking of riding at Surrey hills this weekend, never been there before so don't know how it gets in the wet! Was going to change from my 2.35 high rollers to medusa mud tyres as our local rides get nice and muddy! Someone mentioned to me that Surrey hills drains well as it's sand based!
Is it worth sticking the mud tyres on, bearing in mind the recent weather?

Stick with the High Rollers – they should be fine. It drains really well 'round here, and mud tyres will just tear up some of the stuff and be really slippery elsewhere.

At the same time some of the more popular trails can be pretty hairy

Some of the trails get trashed from riding in wet conditions which isn't helping the case for mountain biking in the area – so best to try and avoid the softer ones if you can

If not to soggy I use the Maxxis Swamp thing sticky 42a
single ply upfront over there just because plenty of
roots with an Albert on the back.

Works fine every time when a little rain
Swamp Thing 42a will stick like glue to the roots
