Anyone own or have experience of Surly Troll? Had been looking at Ogre or El Mariachi but think for now I’m sticking with 26″.

Also considering LHT Disc (26″) if anyone has any experience of this.

What do you need to know?
The Troll is more mtb, shorter stays & longer tt
LHT is the go to road tourer it seems, though we’ve used ours plenty off road too – not so much mud clearance tho’ it’ll fit a 2″ tyre plus guards.

Love my lht but its nothing like the other stuff on that list

Thanks for replies. What sort of weight does the Troll build up to? How do you find the rear dropouts, versatile or are there any issues when running standard gears?

Being able to run suspension fork on Troll is also appealing – already have Fox F100RL which gives me options.

Looking at LHT as thought might be more comfortable for longer days out but not sure how good for off road (tracks/bridleways etc). Ability to run 2.1″ tyres seems good option.
