    Grams/pounds. What’s the weight of a 16″ frameset?

    My 17″ complete Mukluk weighs 37lbs unloaded

    The rear wheel (geared) weighs 9.5lb’s on it’s own.

    It was 52lbs last Friday with 3 full bottles of water, food, camera, spare’s and stuff

    In 2 bottle mode a couple of days before

    My pugs is around 39 lbs with tools and water with an Alfine 8 speed and 36H Large Marge rims. but going back to Hope pro 2 rear and mechs so be down to around 35 lbs (race wippet :o)

    Most of the weight in a fatbike is because of the wheels.

    I can’t find my tyre weights, but they are substantial.

    I see no reason why a Pug set up as a 29er shouldn’t be more or less the same weight as any other steel 29er.

    my wheels are 12 lbs alone for the pair – with tires and tubes !

    only thing is – despite being lighter it will ride like a dog on 29ers – angles are bananas to stop plowing on corners.

    Surly list the 18″ as 5.6lb for the frame and 2.2lb for the fork.

    I can see it used as a tool to get me out of the house. Miles of sand, few people around, no mobile phone reception. Idyllic!
