I have bought a whyte g-150 works frame from off ebay, and am trying to build it up on a tight budget. I have a set of road wheel from SS and have been more than happy with them. Looking to buy either the tech 4 ex 23 or ds 25, they seem to be about the same weight so its only the rim width that differs.

So where would your money go for a strong set of wheels?

Can’t comment on those wheels specifically, but in true STW tradition I won’t let that stop me! Bought a set of wheels off of that there Superstar. Pacenti rims on Superstar Tesla hubs. Rims are fine, but the rear hub packed up within weeks. In fairness they sorted it (though it took a couple of weeks due to their warranty dept being stacked out – gulp) and I’m still waiting for the refund of the postage cost that I incurred to send the wheel back. In summary, whilst on the face of it they represent excellent value for money, I’d tread carefully…

To avoid the issue stated above I would suggest the Switch hubs, known to have far less issues.

    Get the ds25 ones.

I’ve battered mine and they have stood up remarkably well.

I did a write up the other day…

I think both the two I am looking at use the switch hubs, and for £158 with the current code its hard to even find anything second hand for that price. Thanks for the link chakaping
