    I know of the potential damage that might be caused, but I find phenomena like this amazing. My inner nerd gets very excited.

    Aye, great for windsurfing and paddleboarding though.

    We’re due the Autumn solstice one soon, normally Haying Island floods near the seafront.

    Great to watch.

    Maybe that why I could see all of these on my lunchtime run about an hour

    Noticed the tide was very low as I started out … there where lots of metal detector types along the shore line opposite Tate modern

    Love the way they always use the Mersea Island road for these pics. It floods every high tide! A twice daily event is hardly news.
