Yes I have one – been ok so far quite good range ( got me up a hill tat was hard work with 2×9 – still hard work but I got up !) – running mine with a 34T front ring on plus wheels

Is one chain long enough for a 34 and the cassette?

I have one on a 26″ with 32T up front. XT medium cage rear and std B tension screw.

Full length Sram chain (114 links iirc) and shifts perfectly in all gears.

The 32T seems to be a good match for my level of fit(fat)ness and ability, although a fit 20 something would probably get away with 34t on a 26″ wheeled bike.
