It arrived today, excitedly tried to fit it only for it to seemingly be too long for the freehub and I’m unable to screw in the retaining sprocket?
Anybody else had this or is it a trip to the LBS?

I’ve had one for months, are you sure it’s just not fully sat on to the hub?
Is the hub used and has knotchy marks stopping it going all the way on?

Mine fitted fine on a few different hubs. No spacer on the freehub?

Brand new bike with perfect freehub, I’ll try again later.

I’ve got one and had much the same issue. For some reason they’re just a bit tight on some freehubs and need a little ‘coaxing’ with a rubber mallet or similar.

I used a shimano lock nut n no washer as it was just a smidge too long and only engaged one one thread.

Trying to think back to fitting mine, and I’ve half a recollection that the last sprocket does sit proud of the edge of the freehub, but if you apply a bit of pressure as you fit the locking it all comes good.

Cheers fellas, some persuasion with a rubber mallet on the other side of the axle seemed to move it through enough to attach the cassette correctly…..it is a lovely bit of kit (MX3) but at £60 I’d hope so too!
