Err, they've just been recalled. Due to many failures. They shouldn't be being sold at the moment.

just the 31.8mm (os) were recalled not the 25.4mm(standard)

i think the recall is for o/s ones only, worth checking though

hmm, just the 'bigger' ones have failed – so far?

I liked mine (the oversize) and they showed no sign of any potential failure (dispite a crash in the alps which bent my brake lever 45 deg and snapped the end cap off my lock-ons).
I reckon there was a bad batch and they recalled them all due to this.

I use a 25.4. Was an upgrade from an OEM commecal bar that was much narrower so can't compare to other carbon bars. So far I've found it very comfy, seems like just the right width for me. No problems with cracks etc, and has been ridden pretty hard. It also looks pretty nice if that's a factor. I got mine really cheap from Bike outlet.
