Once we have had a spell of rain in the Reading area the Trailrakers will be going back on. They are down from the loft already but so long as the dry holds on I'll stick to fast rubber.

I put mud tyres on my dh bike three weeks ago and it hasn't rained since. I dare not take them off….

Put swampthings in the winter and then by the time the summer comes, they should be worn down into nice summer tyres.

Still on Speedkings front & rear – probably swap to Conti Edge once it gets gloopy.

In fact, I might put them on in preparation for the D2D – that way it will remain bone dry as jam bo has already hinted towards.

i took off the (very worn) summer tyres, bought a nice waterproof jacket and some waterproof shorts.

erm…..they're quite a rarity at the moment compared to:

    'What light'
'Where do I get my DX light from'
    'What 10000lumen light for £50'
    'light advice' etc……..

my last tire swap was putting maxdaddy's on the BMX.

Swampthing 2.1's when the time comes, still rocking a slick rear at the moment though and probably will do for a while, stuff drifting, I can powerslide 😀

Hey stumpy, I put Speedkings front & rear on the other day but took them off the next day as I thought they dragged (rear tyre on the way they suggest). Was it just me being rubbish that day or what ? Also I find them a real pain to get on my rims (Spinergy). How are they with you ? I have to use tyre levers to put them on even !!
This from someone who was looking at the low knobblies compared to the 'draggy' Trailrakers which are now back on for Wales this weekend.

The Slider – I don't really mess around with tyres to be honest, but of all the ones I have used I have found Speed Kings to be among the fastest tyre that grips well in a decent range of conditions. I've got the cheapest wire versions.

I generally keep the pressures up quite high which makes them a bit skittish on loose surfaces, but otherwise find them fine.

As for getting them on and off – I find all Continentals are difficult. Broke a tyre lever last week helping a mate change a puncture trying to get his Speed Kings off the rim. I've got Mavic 317 rims.
I won't be buying COntinentals again I think as they are such a pain. My Panaracer Fire XCs go on (and sometimes off) with no bother at all.
