If you started with something like an fm066 sl, farsports rims, dati hubs, and planet-x brakes, and the rest was ‘off the shelf in an average LBS’* how light could you go? Curious as to how much weight something extreme like that actually saves over a cheeper but still deliberately light build?

*ritchey, FSA, deda, 3T etc and unmodified groupset components.

It’s only long enough for the inner one 🙂

I think I would actually be slightly more impressed by a sub 5kg bike made up completely from commercially available parts, custom hoods, incomplete bar taping etc, it’s all a bit silly and who actually wants to spend those sort of sums on a non-UCI compliant bike…

Plenty of people, just not you. Same reason people buy an MX-5, despite it not being FIA legal to race in F1.

I can’t see any cables/wires going the the mechs.

After some zooming I can see one going into the rear mech, not sure how they’re routed through the frame though. It’s got cable guides so why go internal which I think is slightly heavier.

No wires going into the junction box on the stem though. (looking at the pic focused on the brake lever)

Plus, granny ring to the 11t sprocket suggests the mechs aren’t plugged in…

And in true WW style, it’s running Tufo tubs. So it’s clearly a show bike, as no-one actually rides Tufos for more than half a mile.
