I am 55 yr old and growing my hair long – just to piss off the slapheads in the world. I am a nurse so have to keep it clear of my face. Its not long enough to ponytail yet but too long to meet regs.

so the question is what do I do with it? Man bun? ( my missus says she will change the locks if I do) Clip the front bit to the top of my head? Alice band? Any other ideas?

Yes, at 55 you should be retiring, kick back, grow your hair as long as you like (although at your age I would seriously reconsider) and slip on a pair of jeans.

Man who thinks anyone over 40 wearing jeans looks ridiculous grows hair long and considers manbun and alice band.

I can’t find a decent pic but Toolis the edinburgh rugby player has his hair so the front bit is tied back but the rest flies free. I would be using a clip not a band but this sort of thing
