Ok – I'm bored and bored of political arguments. Ernies comment on calling Zulu "ratty" started a rather pointless train of thought. So

Ernie Lynch – he must be Badger from Wind in the Willows.

Smee – the red queen from thru the looking glass. Or Gollumn?

Cinnamon Girl – the snork maiden from the Moomintroll series.

Mamadirt. Is she Beryl the Peril?

    Jojo – Tank girl?

CFH must be Toad from the wind in the Willows

    Who is the gruffalo?

    Fungus the bogeyman?

I of course am Bilbo Baggins.

    Is Ton the BFG?

Nah……… I've always seen ton as 'Rabies' in Maid Marian and Her Merry Men :

    .

Ernie Lynch – he must be Badger from Wind in the Willows.

What, the upright member of the ruling bourgeois elite ? 🙁

Surely I would be better cast as one of the weasels ? 💡

    Is this a compliment?

Professor Yaffle, full name "Augustus Barclay Yaffle", the carved wooden book-end, is the brains of the outfit, or so he'd like to think. He is very knowledgeable, but a bit proud, and the mice love to play tricks on him to bring him down a peg or two.

…………. being nailed to the floor with tacks to prevent him falling over.

Well, TJ, not heard of this so Googled it. Apparently she has curly hair (guilty), is loyal to her friends (definitely) and can be emotional (you bet). As for being a maiden …

Polite request – can you change your name back please, much nicer 😉

    Smee; Groundskeeper Willie

Since it would seem tv characters are allowed; Hora; Frank Rottweiller from Harry Enfield.

    TJ; Nelson from Simpsons

    Not necessarily children's, but for me TJ will always be;

    He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer,
More reliable than a garden strimmer,
    He's never been mistaken for Yul Brynner;
He's not bald, and his head doesn't glimmer.

Master of the wit and the repartee,
His command of space directives is uncanny.
How come he's such a genius? Don't ask me!
    Ask Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer.
    He's also a fantastic swimmer,
And if you play your cards right,
Then he just might come round for dinner.

Ernie, in that context, it's not a compliment 🙂

I'm not sure I would ever consider being described as an intellectual, as a 'compliment' …..whatever the context 😉

Right. I am in a huff now.

Ah…… that reminds me of one of my favourite Marxist quotes :

"You can leave in a huff. If that's too soon, you can leave in a minute and a huff" Groucho Marx
