First time i have ever marshalled ( i was at point 3, where you had the 2 options to go left after the fire road...)and i loved it! will defo do it again, but bot at next years, i have missed the last 2 so i am DEFO racing next year! best bit for me, was on the last lap, a guy was struggling on the climb today, looked shattered, i shouted some encouragement, " come on, last lap, push on, your doing well....." he said " im, im.... starts with F and ends in D" he said, not wanting to swear.... when i said "fingered?" he fell off laughing..........

Talking about tough ladies - I think my GF should have a post event spot prize for her resolve and determination at the weekender. She crashed 3 times in her timed DH run and still managed to finish with a very respectable time of 3.22. When she got to the finish line she looked like she was in a lot of pain with badly cut and bruised legs. Her coccyx was also very painful. Despite this and a very bad night's sleep because of it, she still rode the XC the next day completing 3 laps and taking 8th in the senior women's race. After a couple of days without being able to sit properly, she went to A&E yesterday to find out she has a fractured Coccyx and won't be able to sit properly, let alone ride, for the next few weeks. Well done Kate.

O no poor Kate, she said it was "a bit sore" but she wanted to ride to get it sorted
What a Spirited lass, I'm sure they will let here be a honorary Yorkshire women now !

Baldysquirt that is hardcore well done to your girlfriend! Only one place behind me and thankfully i didn't suffer any injuries over the weekend!
