IS there a problem with the STW forums - keep getting "server too slow to respond" error pages the last weeks or so? Am I missing/missed something?

No.. It's just you going really fast!
Seriously, we are changing a few things in the background. We are trying to improve the search function. Hopefully things will be running fast and smooth very shortly.

Seems to have started going slowly when premier membership was introduced.
Are you one of them? The little P symbol doesn't show here for anyone!!!
Do they get a speedier service for their money?Posted 2 years ago # -

I've noticed it grinding to a halt alot recently. For me it seems to happen mid week at around 12-2pm, so assuming it gets overloaded by people on their works lunch breaks.

I've noticed it a lot both at work and at home, for a few weeks now

It's us.. We are making it slow because we are changing parts of the search function. Slicker, faster service will be along shortly. Don't panic

Cool thanks mark for the Update

It's a safety thing. We have to slow it down to be able to change stuff.. When it's a full tilt the bloody thing could have a finger off if you aren't careful. Of course we should stop it altogether but the hamsters get quite restless very quickly and get a bit bitey.

I've always thought that Hamsterly Forest is where the STW rodents are put out to pasture.

I admit I assumed it was the tipping point. All these new features were pushing the rodents to the limits.
Maybe STW should move to Guinea Pigs. They are slower, but more sturdy.
