So am looking at building up a 29er,
Are the wheels the same size as road wheels.
Have seen some tyres on tinternet as size 28″. Would these fit ? And some are classed as 650 size ?
Would road slicks fit onto 29er wheels ( pending rim width of course)

Road tyres on 29er wheels work.

28″ is a different size – the English equivalent if 700c before we went metric.

slicks will fit but I’d be careful they seat properly – wider cross tyres might be better.

    700c is standard road tyre.

Check the width of the road wheels, some 29er tyres need wider rims & bigger tubes than are standard on road bikes.

650 is something different, in between 26 & 28/29er & not compatible with either
