The fiancees 2 neices are visiting tomorrow. Girls, aged 2 1/2 and 6. Here for the day. What is there to do or where to take them. Within 30mins from central Newcastle as they will already have driven a distance to get here.

    cheers in advance 🙂

Discovery museum and Science museum, both are just 5 mins walk from Central.

The Hancock isn’t too far away, either. 10 minutes walk from the station, less on the metro to the Haymarket

Make some “Pardew Out” banners and pop down to St James Park.

    It’s arty, it’s crafty, it’s a day out. Winner!

    Baltic will have something on.

Go show them the vampire rabbit just over from central station and the shoe tree in Armstrong park

Go down to the coast. Tynemouth (inc castle), Cullercoats, St Mary’s Island. All kids love the beach esp if they live inland. Tynemouth Long Sands in the winter will toughen them up!

Baltic has a kids area where they can do ‘art’, my kids loved it at that age, going up and down in the lift was fun too!

    Seven Stories in Ouseburn http://www.sevenstories.org.uk/
Beamish http://www.beamish.org.uk/ (wrap up warm, 2 1/2 might be too young for this one)

Our recent day out involved the Hancock, which is great and free, riding the glass lift at the Baltic and lots of Metro riding (we live in a rural spot so the kids are easily pleased by city stuff!)

You can combine the Baltic, Seven Stories and the farm up Ousburn.
