plusgas overnight, then hammer in a torx bit & try the bolt again ?

(have never owned a fox fork so no idea about specifics but the above has worked for me before)

If its is one of the four pinch bolts, not the axle, the plus-gas and torx bit is the best option. Plus-gas is a anti seize fluid, comes in a little tin like a 3 in 1 oil tin.

If its the allen key thing in the axle thats jiggered, thats a different problem all together.

I’m assuming your axle is stuck. If so remove all pinch bolts fully. Coat liberally with wd40, 3 in 1 or alike. Leave. Smack axle with hammer wherever you can to try and break the seal. Oil again. Leave. Pour full kettle of boiling water over dropouts then try and turn axle with hex/torx/pliers on end/wedging something in the open end etc.

You’ll need to watch here. The older 36’s have a ridiculous 2 piece axle where the allen key head is screwed into the axle body itself, on the opposite thread to the main axle. This means if you try to remove the allen bolt head, the axle end cap unscrews, leaving the axle still in place 🙁

The best way to remedy this is as above, but screw the axle cap in with some loctite on it, leave to cure and then remove both. Of course the good bit about this set up is that if you round the Allen head you can easily replace it.

However, it does sound like you have a different problem where the allen bolt head has rounded and the axle is still stuck fast. If thats the case you could try the methods above with boiling water etc.

Use an easi-out or whatever they’re called if it’s the allen key?

A hammer may not be so good as some of the forks are known to be vulnerable to cracking there.

If it’s the axle perhaps an easi out, or get a slot cut into it
