Hi, threads on the drive side of the bottom bracket have partially stripped, can these be repaired it's on a trek OCLV frame. Or can you get bottom brackets that don't use the threads?

if it's an aluminium insert you may be able to get an insert put in and rethreaded but the carbon frame could be a problem with that as they won't be able to ream out much.
google throws this up as a threadless bb but I know others are available. [edit] didn't actually look at the picture, sorry!

Try getting LBS to chase the threads - may be possible to save?
Otherwise, Trek UK may be able to replace the BB insert. 01908 282 626 ask for Gareth or Colin in service/warranty.

I think it's possible to get an insert glued into alloy frames, dunno re CF.

I'm very hard on my bikes, but I've never had the slightest problem with the BB threads - is it because BB's rarely last me as long as a year so they never get time to corrode themselves in ?

You should speak to Argos cycles in Bristol. Chances are that even with a CF frame there is a alu insert bonded in. I stripped the threads of my Alu BB (badly fitted BB cups - not by me)and they bonded in a piece of metal and recut the threads. Cost was £70 IIRC plus shipping each way. Very well done...you'd never know.
