It does look short, so almost certainly not for me atm, but I love the look of it.

Not a problem at all Rorschach, i still have my Jones and this stooge rides sod all like it, otherwise I wouldn’t have been involved with this thing.

Actually more influenced by the original breezer from the 70’s hence the ladder frame and there’s only so much you can do engineering wise with a ti fork with a long offset before it turns to a noodle so a truss of some descritption is the best way, unless you use 36mm or 40mm tubes which would be stiffer than a stiff thing.

Just my two cents as I’m just a test pilot, and will also he spending lots of time on my Jones…. 🙂

Oh 23.5 ish ett as well so not that short either

Bonesetter- its like my rooster had a night of dirty filthy passion with my black sheep whilst an old skool bmx was pleasuring itself in the corner. Its big monster truck yobbo

Damn, and i so wanted to like you with a name like that.

@Vondally, if you mean can you have one for your regular Stooge, drop me an e-mail, it wouldn’t be a problem.

I hate the fork tbh but I love the frame, the lines of the ladder dropping back into the seat stays are just, mmmmmm.

yes but then it wouldn’t be a homage to this, and this makes me moist

What tyre sizes can the fork fit?

akira its a 100mm hub spacing, 29er 3.25 like a crux or bulldozer will fit with loads of space. I reckon a 27.5 with a 3.8 bonty may just squeeze in with enough space to be usable, dependent upon rim width.

Proprietary bolt through or existing standard? Considering whether this in a stooge might help satisfy my Jones itch.

what you need for a jones itch…is a Jones. Believe me they are very different bikes. My Jones will never leave the bike collection!!

what you need for monster truck bmx retro yob behaviour.. may be a speedball 😀

its a 15mm rockshox compatible maxle

    Ti is £2K
    Steel ~£900

    Which IMO is decent pricing

What’s the difference in geometry to the normal stooge?

So would the new fork alter the original Stooge by much? I love Klunkers Breezers and Torkers and the Stooge but I’m not feeling this one I’m afraid, might be a grower.

Ooh the Bullmoose bars sound interesting! I really fancy some for my MK1 Stooge.

The forks are intriguing too, costly id imagine though!?!

The look of the Speedball is growing on me, I didnt instantly fall in love with it like I did the original.

23.5″ ETT is pretty short. What’s the reach?

Looks like it’s trying to replicate Jones geometry (not the Jones Plus) with a different aesthetic, but appealing to a similar audience.

What’s the fork compliance like? The bracing looks a bit too beefy compared to the Jones!

    Clink

Truss forks are not meant to be compliant – they are meant to be stiff and have no brake flutter.

So, will there be a steel truss fork available aftermarket to fit a mk1 Stooge?

    In Plum Crazy purple.

    Pretty please.
