Hi all,

I’ve just found out that some scrote has stolen the wheels from my trail bike (London area).

Here’s the spec:

Industry 9 Torch hubs in Orange
Light bicycles 35mm 650b/27.5 rims
Mavic tyres

I doubt there’s a wheelset in the UK like this so hopefully they’ll turn up. It’d be great if you could all keep an eye out.

P.S. the wheels were in the garage – not attached to the bike!

I was bidding on a set of Orange torch hubs on EBay with the same build in mind, hope they turn up.

Yep thanks I have done. I’ve not bother replacing the lock they cut through – just relying on the (rubbish) T handle now. Hopefully they’ll take that as an indication that there’s nothing in there now. The last thing I want to do is have to fix a vandalised door…

The worst thing is that I’m not sure it’s worth claiming on insurance. It cost me about £600 for the wheelset and my excess is £400. I don’t even care about the 5 year old DJ bike that they took as well. My premium will probably skyrocket next year if I did. 🙁
