    No, not for that reason…

My missus’ laptop got pineapple juice spilt on it by one of the kids t’other day. And a result she can no longer use the letters ‘S’ and ‘N’ or the spacebar. Nice.
So, oh great collective, how do we go about removing said sticky sh1te from beneath the keys?

Depends how willing you are to risk it’s life and possibly find a source of replacement (ebay, easy job if you’re willing). If it’s down to the sugaryness buggering it up then it should be fairly easy to remove the keyboard, run warm water over its surface for a short while and then leave it to dry for many many days on top of the radiator. If its the acid in the pineapple that’s done the damage it’ll not be as easy.

You’re ok getting the keyboard wet providing you’re absolutely 100% sure it’s dry before you re-assemble, and the fact that there’s loads of tiny pockets and bits it could hold damp in you probably wont want to risk it. Find a replacement for £10 on ebay first 🙂
