Any scientific evidence to support the copper's view? 😉

    Happy New Year!

Well, they're not saying it saved his life, just that it stopped his injuries from being worse. Isn't GCSE physics enough to prove that statement correct?

Here we go again, another addition to the Risk Assessments… 🙂
Hope that wasn't your new helmet tested already Kit!

    Happy New Year too, BTW.

Well do we know the angle at which the ice hit his helmet? Could it have rotated his head causing the neck injuries and dizziness? Would not have wearing a helmet simply resulted in a bump or cut and nothing more? etc etc devil's advocate etc etc 😀

And Rob, do I look 37?? Careful how you answer that…

Really, helmets should be compulsory for EVERYBODY during icy ( and in Scotland, pished!) conditions like these. Those people who risk ending up as a vegetable after slipping while walking on the pavement are just being selfish to society and their families.
I mean, what harm could it do?

I've survived 2 outings now. I crashed my tits off on one of them. None of us (3) were wearing helmets. Total deaths so far: zero.

Hard to believe, I know. 😯

I'll let you know if I die tomorrow.
