  • Stans flow rims, bought the wrong tape…

Received my new wheels and bits for going tubeless from Wiggle.

Stans flow rims and I’ve bought the 21mm tape which obviously is too narrow…

Can I just go round the wheel twice or do I NEED the wider tape?

Gorilla tape from Homebase works really well.

Send it back, no sense wasting it. Then either gorilla tape as above (excellent result), or quality electric tape (cheaper, not as good IME, gets damaged too easily when you change tyres). Or get the right tape, but I’m not sure it’s any better than gorilla.

Couldnt wait, needed the bike ready for tomorrow.

First time with tubeless Stans Flow Hope Hoops, Conti Rubber Queen, stans sealant, tape and valves.

It’s so easy it’s really made me wonder why I’ve never done it sooner! The conti’s have taken a while for the sidewalls to seal but I did read that.

    Excellent, thanks again.
