Going to be in the area at the back end of the week, so thought I'd swing past for a play. Couple of questions though…

Bike choice – big & hefty 6" full sus with a granny ring, or a dinky hardtail with Pikes and 1×9? The FS is better for going fast on, the hardtail for real tight tech stuff, but what about the climbs?

Flats or clips? Happy on either. Better on tech climbs with the clips though.

I guess basic pads are worth taking?

    Thanks!

It's short and techy, so hardtail by the sounds of it. I'd prefer flats (and ride both) but it sounds like you would prefer spds.

The climb is so short I wouldn't worry about it.

    Great trails!

there's some thin board walk which will probably have you sticking your legs out to keep balance so go for flats i reckon. also there's a bit with a steep drop to one side, i had to use my right foot to guide myself across the first time.

there's one jump you could launch off on the descent line that the full sus could handle that might be a bit rough on a ht. other than that i think the hardtail could handle everything else nicely.

    awesome set of trails. enjoy!
