Great weekend – course was a good mix of techy Singletrack and the ups were nice and wide for the fast boys to go past the slower peeps ( like me)- good effort from Wayne and co! Coventry next year 🙂

…My ride* for the event is going to be a Buffalo Bike from http://www.uk.worldbicyclerelief.org
…* mostly it will be pushed

It wasn’t mostly pushed. Matt did a brilliant job of getting it around a course that made me nervous with drum brakes. He just had a coaster… 🙂

If you can, take a look at what he is trying to do and make a wee contribution.

    Well said epicyclo!

Had a great weekend – good course, good beer, good people, good band and even good weather. Thanks Wayne!

Great weekend – still feeling slightly broken from my 4 laps in the morning and then 7 in the afternoon.

Here is a pic of mattjg “pushing” the Buffalo bike

(More pics of SSUK if you click on the link – sorry about the focus on some, the woods were dark and my wee camera couldn’t cope)

World Champs – Shimano Struck by Thieves

After riding the Duncombe Park course, several SSers underwent a conversion to the darker side, and are suspected of illicit derailleur harvesting…

Thank you muchly. It was a “learning experience”.

I reckon there’s about 60 quid in the bucket. Thanks to everyone who chipped in.

A couple of people asked me for an online donation page so I made one here: http://fundraiseuk.worldbicyclerelief.org/mattssuk

£95 gets a bike into the hands of someone who can use it to change their life, we’re a little bit short. Would be great if we can get enough to buy them a bike on behalf of SSUK15.

    Thanks – MG

(& thanks to Wayne for being cool with this. I have put something in the Yorkshire Air Ambulance pot).

Sorry for the delay in update: the bucket had £103.68, and with £75 online (http://fundraiseuk.worldbicyclerelief.org/mattssuk) too we got £178.68.

A bike is £95 delivered into the hands of someone who needs it, so with GiftAid added SSUK15 comfortably bought 2 bikes.

    Be proud you lot.
