  • Sram X7 2011 9 Speeds Rear mech, spring tension.

    Hi,

    Does the 2011 x7 rear mech have a stiffer spring than the 2010 x7 rear mech? The spring that tensions the pulley arm, not the shifting spring.

    Looking at the parts diagrams from sram, 2010 x0 and x9 has a nice coil spring tensioning the arm, the x7 doesn’t.

    Moving to 2011, the x0/x9/x7 all have the same spring tensioning the arm, but the parts drawing says 10 speed, no info on 2011 9 speed. Should i assume the 9 speed are the same?

    Im just basically after a inexpensive, short cage, high tension mech for 1X9 riding bumpy stuff.
