300km or so into my new bike, and while going down a steep, rocky section far from people, my back brake started pulling to the bar.

Dropped it off at my local bike shop, who have emailed photos through of a worn through rear hydraulic line, that has obviously rubbed on the exit from the internal routing.

SRAM replacement hose and fitting is around 35 quid, so not bad, but is this premature wearing of a hose something I can claim back from the shop I bought it from, 6 weeks ago, in the UK, and I’m not.

Or is this a suck it up situation.

Are there any aftermarket hydraulic line for SRAM road yet?
