The other week I had a bad crash coming down Boxhill
My dogma flew off up the bank…the handle bars twisted right round snapping the brake cable and
the rear wheel went somewhere else and got a near shattered shoulder blade as a reminder
Anyway everything looks ok…..so far …but the left brake lever on the shifter looks broken inside….now at the mo ,I’ve only got one arm moving ….so I’m just putting out the feelers ,if these shifters are easy to fix?

    Thanks

My experience of Rival shifters that were broken inside is that it needs a new shifter.

Rival was blinkin expensive so I’d expect Red to be extortionate.

If it’s the lever it may be fixable

Generally with Sram, a crash of any magnitude will right off the shifter. I’ve done 2 now, both fairly light touch downs, both destroyed the shifter body.

Me too, I chucked the bike down the road destroying the left lever, new one was the only option.

I had to buy a new pair of shorts and top too. 😆
