Hi going to be ordering set of guide RS brakes very soon and notice they come with clamps but not the matchmaker attachment , do i need to purchase the small attachment so i can hook up my x9 2×10 shifters. thanks for any advice or direction

Depends what clamps you have, the shifter bolts onto the groove on the mount and the brakes replace the block that goes on the clamp.
