    Got a x7 mech (08/09 model).

    Will the x9 (similar age) jockey wheels fit, or are they different sizes?

    yep, but may have a source of part used X9 ones and I don't like things to go to waste…

    The parts manual says not, although they look very similar.

    How about getting rid of that stupid bushing on the upper jockey wheel by using BBB ones instead?
