  • SRAM Guide caliper catching on rotor?

Just fitted some Guides – on the rear the caliper is catching on the rotor

I’m using a Centreline rotor 160mm with a Shimano IS to Post mount 160mm adaptor

It doesn’t seem to matter how I adjust any of the mounting bolts

Do I just need to shim the caliper a bit further away from the rotor?

Not sure what you mean, is the calliper sitting to low and hitting the top of the rotor or do you mean hitting the mount adapter?

shim it I would say depends how much height difference or an avid 165 mount if sram are still awkward with giving things an extra 5mm

ok that’s worked only concern is that top part of pads are not in contact with rotor when brake applied

sitting up too high now? that will cause some problems when the pads wear.

yeah a few mm too high

think it could be the horizontal dropouts causing the issue

What frame is it? You’re not using a front post mount on the rear on anything crazy like that?
