Took my full suss out for a ride after it sitting for about 6 months in the garage.

It rode perfect last time I rode it and was put away dry.

At the bottom of a compress, the forks let out a slight squeak, or possibly what could be described as a ‘belch’ and they also feel a bit sticky on the way down.

Any ideas what I should be looking for? A bit of GT85 on the stanchions?

The bikes only done 200 miles maximum as andybanks junior has put a stop on my riding this year.

    Thanks

Do not go near them with gt85. Silicon spray or fork oil on the stantions will help. So will turning it upside down for half an hour.

depends on the forks but 200 miles could be 20 hours riding which might mean they should have a service according to the manufacturer.

I’d go with dry seals if they’ve been sat for a long time – maybe look at a seal service to clean them and reoil?

Try just turning the forks upside down for an hour to allow the oil to lubricate the foam rings and upper bushings.
Its probably all settled in the bottom of the lowers and the foam rings and bushings are dry.
