I'm not sure he's really the top sportsperson out there but he's a damn good one and deserving of the award when you consider his career.

I'm a Liverpool fan and I do respect everything Giggsy has done. He is a great role model for any budding football player - but win this!!!!!!! No way.

I saw an amazing comment in a newspaper the other day about this. It said that Cav had no chance as he'd only come 135th in Le Tour and that was hardly a winning habit. Er what about the small matter of more stage wins than any other Brit??!!

But Smiffkin they didnt' even mention his Milan san Remo win as "normal" non cycling people will just have no clue! I think it should've been Ennis or Button.
