There's a lot of em about at the moment so it's probably not the exact same one. They're rubbish at climbing up steep smooth surfaces, so fall in baths and can't get out. They can't swim so won't get past the trap in your drain and so do not come up the plughole.
Roper will be along in a minute with pix of really mahusively big scary spiders to put your wee baby one into context.

This one is pint glass size ie pint glass in bath horizontally in front of spider and push it along till it goes in .it's legs just won't fit if I try an drop the pint glamss over it's diameter. I'm just amazed moving it has become part of the morning ritual

Conkers also keep lions away. Since putting conkers all over the place, I have not seen one lion.

I have 2 that take it in turns to come back, whilst one is in the shower the other is in the bath, the way round it is to stop being lazy and take them further away than out the window where they just climb back in
I leave the one in the bath for a few days to try and bore it into not doing it again, so far it hasn't worked.
eta. conkers do not work, we put hundreds around the place and made no difference whatsoever, I am still finding shrivelled conkers in random places.

heres a solution from some of my family that live in Texas...they have big scary spiders out there and this seems to work..
spiders taste through there feet / legs so you have to make your house unattractive
buy a packet of tobacco and boil it in a couple of pints of water for 10-15 mins, drain off and keep the liquid (bin the tobacco) now mix the liquid with somthing citrus like lemon juice or lime juice (i have used lemon fairly liquid before and it worked). put the resulting liquid in a plant spray gun thing and then spray around all the openings of your house i.e outside doors and windows
no more spiders!

You know that if they go down the plughole they lurk in the plumbing and spy on you through the overflow while you're doing your ablutions.

yeah i heard they don't like the taste of faeces, so all you have to do is smear the walls of your house in shite. no more spiders!

We had spiders last year
now we have a cat, and hardly any spiders
she doesnt seem to eat them though weirdly, just lamps them repeatedly, so gord knows where they all go to

My wife is from Texas it took a good few years before she would accept that our spiders are not dangerous
