Long shot this, worth a punt though.
I’ve borrowed a bike from a mate for a trip to the alps (it’s a Demo 7) and there is a small, but not insignificant, amount of vertical play in the rear suspension. I’ve traced this back to the rear shock mount.
Normally, I’d just change the bushing, however the shock doesn’t have a bush (shock horror!) it’s sat on a 15mm axle which passes through bearings in the frame. The 15mm axle seems loose in the shock eyelet, which I understand to have a ID of 15.15mm. There’s no sign of wear on the shock eyelet or the axle. Has anyone had a similar issues? Apparently it’s not just limited to the Demo 7. Anyone managed to solve it?
