Ok guys. Looking for some help as I’ve just changed the pedals on my road bike from Shinano SPD-SL to Speedplay Zeros and I’m having a mare of a time trying to get the left cleat setup properly. I’ve followed the instructions and videos on YouTube but for some reason on the left foot I keep getting a numb foot which starts off on the outside by the ball of my foot.

I’ve tried moving the cleat forward and backwards on the shoes but it seems to have made no difference. The right foot however is fine.

Any thoughts or suggestions on what I’m doing wrong?

You should be able to get the cleat position same as the old pedals, so if that’s the case I wonder if you need to drop the saddle to account for the lower stack height of the Speedplays. Assuming no screws are protruding into the footbed etc. Burning foot might not necessarily be coming from the shoe, maybe a nerve further up.

Ta I didn’t think about that. Will give that a try and see how I get on. Failing that I’ll have another play around with the cleat positioning.
