Has anyone else had issues with getting tyres on/off spesh roval control SL in carbon variety? Bontrager tyres seem to go on ok but Schwalbe Rocket Ron 2.25 are incredibly tight to the point of breaking tyre levers? What gives?

I’ve found anything with a strong sidewall to be very hard work (Magic Mary, Hillbilly, Wild Mud). You have to be very careful with the placement in the dip in the rim and it’s still tricky. I also broke my trusty Mavic lever and had to resort to the Crank Bros Speedier Lever.

Getting a pair of S-Works Ground Controls on mine was a bit of a fight. So much so, that I’m not going to be bothering to change them back to the Fast Traks in the summer now I’ve set them up tubeless.

I wouldn’t describe the rocket rons as having a strong sidewall even in the snakeskin variety
