  • Specialized Command Post – Keeps slipping and it's very annoying

    I have a Specialized Command Post BlackLite on my Stumpy and it was serviced about 2 months ago. Last week the post started slipping from both full position and middle position every few minutes during a ride.

    I checked the manual and went through the trouble shooting tips and even re greased the post inside, but it still slips when riding on normal xc trails.

    Inspecting the internals I couldn’t see any wear or damage so I am at a bit of a loss as to what to try next. Has anyone adjusted their own plunger height as I guess that may be worth doing?

    Is the cable running freely and fully releasing? You could try disconnecting it at the saddle end and see if it still does it.

    Mine did that. I sent it back in the end, after my LBS tried several times to sort it.

    Internal plunger cable tension. Easy to jncrease lightly.
