I have got one of these

and the hose has split just where it comes out of the foot plate. The hose can be unscrewed from the base which makes it seem like it can be replaced.

Has anyone ever replaced / repaired one of these?

I have the exact same problem. Have you solved it? The fitting on the foot plate unscrews but I am not sure how to reattach the hose. The picture of the replacement hose on Specialized.com does not show the fitting. I would simply shorten the hose slightly and reattach if I could.

    Hi

I did solve it in the end. I unscrewed the end of the hose from the base and used a sharp knife to cut away the strain relief grommet and hose from the fitting. The bit that screws into the base is threaded on one end and has a barbed bit on the other.
Having cut the damaged hose and grommet off the barb I could then push the barb into a fresh bit of hose and secure it with a jubilee clip.
    Working fine and dandy now.
