Do xt/xtr spd pedals last a bit longer, bearing wise, compared to m540’s?

Just a bit fed up of having wobbly pedal axles after less than a year.

Or is there anything else that lasts? So far I have found the same problem with time’s and egg beaters, although again the lower/mid range ones.

M540s are identical in every way to XT pedals (M770 version) apart from colour. XTRs are a bit nicer, possibly better bearings.
I’ve got a 5yo set of M540s which apart from a bi-annual grease up dont get touched.
TOP TIP If you get a new set of Shimano pedals, take them apart and grease them before you use them. Helps longevity as they don’t come with much grease inside when new.

    Thanks that’s useful advice. Thanks
