Some of you have been to the Southampton Bike Park, some of you helped with the initial build and some of you are just Bike Park Curious.

We are having a Dig Day on Sunday 6th to cut the path of the final run. This will complete the creation of all of the planned trails. There will be ongoing maintenance and trail enhancements of course but this will show to total extent of the Bike Park.

If anyone wants to come along to help, ride, watch, point and laugh you are all welcome. We do have a number of shovels, spades and wheel barrows that we can lend out but if you want to bring your own that would be great.

I will be there from about 10:30. It is in Southampton Sports Centre on the opposite hill to the View Pub.

Hey WCA, new to the forum and have been looking for some technical stuff down here in the south for a while now.
Out of interest how busy does the bike park get?

HI – there is normally a few people there most afternoons or early evenings. Weekends get a bit busier and quite a few people use it as a meeting place before going up to Lordswood for longer rides.

It doesn’t get busy enough to queue for rides etc and there are 8 different tracks so if the slow kids are on one trail you just use a different one.

If you are looking to meet other riders who can tell/show you other trails then Sunday morning is the best time to go.
