Haven’t been out for a while (on a mtb) and have my brother in law over for the weekend from the low countries – like to get him up a hill or two but is it possible or are the trails too far gone. Was thinking round Firle area

the bits along the tops are mostly ok, puddly in the dips as you might expect, anywhere through the trees is an horrendous quagmire

As Jo said…. anything other than top of the downs is a horrible slimy bog.

    Ha – no Friston then

Probably OK to turn left at the top of Ditchling Beacon (coming from the non-Brighton side) and keep going till we run out of ridge

    Cheers

yeah, Beacon to Lewes is okay, apart from the flat white bit just before Blackcap

i was in Friston a few weeks ago, when i promptly left Friston, i doubt it’s improved since, the main tracks are ok though
