    anyone had any experience of either of the above? will be used mainly for daily commute (only 3.5 miles, each way), so mud guards/ rack etc needed and weekend bimbles with family.

    both seem pretty good value, ridden the solo and liked it but not had a chance to ride the kona.

    not knowing much about road bikes, how do the components stack up, wheels, brakes etc.

    They're pretty similar. I'd suspect the Shimano brakes on the Ridgeback might be slightly better, and it's got mudguards, so if you want them…

    But. The Paddy Wagon looks loads cooler. So I'd buy that one, and get wet.
