My brother wants to use his iPad in France. How does he get a sim for it? The one he was reccomended needed an address in France.
    Options please.

    You can get them eBay.

Depending on network, usually Eurozone roaming should be about the same cost as the UK; O2 is owned by a French parent company, for example. Outside Europe, forget it.

Telefonica is a little bit Spanish…

O2 is a complete rip off for European roaming – £1.99 / day and only 25 Mb!

It used to be twice as much, but they dropped it recently. VF did do as much as you can eat in the EU for £7 / day, but I think they’ve dropped that as well.

Just buy a SIM off Ebay.

The EU recently imposed new rates for roaming (I know people love to hate the EU but they do some things even Brits benefit from). It’s a max of .24e a minute but I can’t remember the Mb rate.

Soz, so it is. It’s Orange that’s French owned, isn’t it. Easily confused.

I got a French sim from LeFrenchMobile, actually got it for my ipad but think it works for phones too and I’m pretty certain I didn’t need a french address – only annoying thing is they don’t have any shops if you need technical help..
