Hi all, sorry about this but need to get some opinions on how much a 2007 specialised stump jumper comp in outstanding condition is worth. I will be selling for a friend who recently lost her husband. It is a standard bike and has not been ridden much at all.

    Thanks

Help with this would be greatly appreciated. I have heard the loose 50 percent after yr one and then 10 percent for each yr after, but is this the generally accepted method for calculation?

    Cheers

Yep your calc is a good starting point.

A Stumpjumper could be a hardtail or a full-suss (I’m assuming back in ’07 that was also the case).

Things are worth what people will pay for them and I find any item thoroughly described and extensively photographed will always go for more on ebay than I would dare advertise it for.

Apologies, it is the stump jumper comp full suspension. She has a couple of friends interested in the bike but I want to make sure she gets a fair price for it.

its really hard to give a value of a bike without seeing, knowing the spec, any upgrades, if its clean etc etc etc
as to a fair price, its worth what your friend wants for it, whether she can sell it for that is a different matter.

post some pix and you might get some answers

Thanks, was hoping this was going to be slightly easier, and somebody might suggest a price range. Oh well, here is the general spec

£1500 price when new, avid three breaks, a mix of lx and xt components, fox forks and shock. All the standard kit when the bike was bought. Very clean and hardly used.

    cheers
