    Maxxis Worm Drive? Is what I used in exactly that situation and thought they were great.

    I got some Specialized Fast Track LK’s on mine which I’m very pleased with. Gripped off road well in the wet recently, roll fast and good on tarmac too.

    I use Maxxis CrossMarks, they roll pretty well on the hard stuff

    kenda dred tread. – 1.8 works for my commute and xc fun.
    will use 2.1 for Kielder 100.

    Used mine off road and they were great in the dry, never tried them off road in the wet.

    Furious Fred. Combine with a Rocket Ron up front for some grip.
