I have a small Sonos setup at home, a Play 3 and a Play 1. But I was wondering at the weekend if there was something that would do a similar job, but for the back garden. Wifi range isn’t a problem, but I need something that would cope with the vagaries of a British summer and not go pop at the first sign of rain. Anybody know of anything?

    Thanks.

You’ll be popular with the neighbours. 🙄

Neighbours are a friendly bunch. They all play music in their gardens from time to time. I am not trying to turn my garden into a rave site. My wife would be mortified if she thought we were annoying anyone.

Just some tunes for when I am pottering or socialising in the sunshine.

Play 1 isn’t fully waterproof but is humidity/splash proof and is ok for kitchens and bathrooms. I’d have no qualms about using one in the garden as long as it’s under cover or will be bought in if it starts raining.

Else it’s using a Connect:Amp (or if you’re looking secondhand, the older ZP100 or ZP120 models) and running cable to proper outdoor speakers.
